🌟Local Kiddo SF

Your weekend plans, handled.

📆Issue No. 39 - October 25-26, 2025

Happy Friday, friends! Another Halloween weekend is here, and while San Francisco transforms into a city-wide costume party with trick-or-treating, spooky celebrations, and haunted happenings everywhere you look, we know not every family is feeling the Halloween spirit—and that's perfectly okay! Whether you're ready to don costumes and hunt for candy (I'll be doing so at Halloween Hayes Valley), build epic sandcastles on the beach, explore nature through birdwatching and art, or meet cartoonists bringing illustrations to life, we've curated experiences that celebrate both Halloween magic and non-spooky alternatives. As they do every week, the San Francisco Public Library has amazing programming for families including many storytimes throughout the city. From Ocean Beach sculptures to botanical gardens, cartoon museums to neighborhood parties, you'll find the perfect way to spend this special weekend—costume optional.

If you have a kiddo 0-5 years old, then this is for you. Did you know that your kiddo could receive a free book every month because of a partnership between Dolly Parton's Imagination Library, SF Department of Early Childhood and SF Public Library? Visit this link to register your child for this incredible literacy program.
