📆Issue No. 53 - January 31-February 1, 2026

Happy Friday, friends!

February is HERE, and it's bringing all the celebrations.

Black History Month begins. A whole month to explore, learn, and celebrate Black history, art, and culture with your kids. Museums, libraries, and community spaces across the city will have programming all month long—we'll be highlighting events each week. This weekend there will be a Black History Month Celebration at Chase Center.

Lunar New Year celebrations continue! Year of the Horse festivities are in full swing. Lion dances, family activities, and celebrations everywhere you look. The Asian Art Museum is celebrating Lunar New Year with its Free First Sunday programming and the library has six lion dances happening throughout the city this weekend.

Opening this week: You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown opens at the Children's Creativity Museum! The beloved Peanuts musical comes to life and will run until February 15.

Last chance: Glow Cinema at the Exploratorium and The Art of Manga at the de Young both wrap up this weekend. Two very different but equally awesome experiences, a light-filled wonder or anime-inspired immersion. Get there while you can.

This weekend also brings a Slavic Festival, zine making, urban beekeeping, a Braille celebration, a dads’ stroller meetup, magnolias in full bloom at Golden Gate Park, and much more.

Let's get into it.
